Men’s Ministry

men-ministry

The Men’s Ministry unites the men of New Antioch Baptist Church of Randallstown (NABCOR) to serve on God’s frontline as mentors and leaders.

We unite together to build spiritual confidence, strengthen our families, and use faith-based solutions to perform the will of God. We are men of all ages with one shared vision of Christ.

Through our Men’s Ministry initiatives, we:

  • Encourage and direct those seeking a closer relationship with Christ;
  • Leverage our male perspectives to empower and encourage one another;
  • Study the honorable word of God and apply his teachings; and,
  • Affirm our dedication to God via praise, scripture, and brotherhood.

Men’s Ministries

See how we are expanding the Kingdom of God under the umbrella of the Men’s Ministry.

Men’s Fellowship Ministry
The Men’s Ministry is a ministry whose primary goal is to bring the men of NABCOR together under the bond of Jesus Christ.  Our aim is to help men grow spiritually, knowledgeable and relationally as we together run this race toward our high calling in Christ.  The Men’s Ministry also serves as an umbrella over all the men’s ministries within the church, acting a guide to new men to help grow them and lead them to the opportunities available in which to serve our Lord.  As a ministry, the men’s fellowship meets the 4th Friday of every month.

Men Mentoring Men: 3M Ministry
The Men Mentoring Men Ministry establishes a set of learning experiences designed for young men to prepare themselves to make life decisions.  The ministry is a tool for the potential mentee to use to clarify God’s Will for his life, focus learning towards developing as a man and to strengthen gifts and skills.

Men of Praise Chorus
The Men of Praise Chorus is comprised of men who are members of the NABC Choir.  Participation in the Men of Praise Chorus is strictly voluntary.  However, it is contingent on active membership in the NABC Choir.  The chorus is occasionally augmented with additional men to sing for special services.  The adding of non-music ministry personnel is done at the discretion of the pastor, but in conjunction with the Minister of Music and the Chorus Director.  The Men of Praise Chorus rehearses on Saturdays before the 2nd and 4th Sunday at 9:00 a.m.; and Thursdays before the 3rd Sunday at 6:30 p.m.  The Men of Praise Chorus sings on the 4th Sunday of each month.

Men’s Prison Ministry
New Antioch Prison Ministry is a fellowship of Christians who are motivated by their love for the Lord Jesus Christ and obedience to His commands, and who have joined together to exhort and assist His church in the prison and in the community in its ministries to prisoners, ex-prisoners, victims, and the families involved.  This ministry promotes Biblical standards of justice in the criminal justice system and Bible training.  We believe the Men’s Prison Ministry is mainly the responsibility of the local church, in its training, resources, and materials which are aimed at equipping Christian volunteers to minister effectively to prisoners, ex-prisoners and their families.  We also look forward in developing other ministry programs such as: community service projects, family ministry programs and support groups for ex-prisoners.

Security and Traffic Control Ministry
Being a part of the Security Ministry is a direct calling from the Lord.  We are called to ensure order and harmony in the church, to extend guidance to individuals seeking help or assistance, and to do whatever is necessary.  We must always be ready to respond, protect, and assist in case of an emergency.  The Security Ministry is called to protect and assist in case of harm to personal property, theft, or threat to personal life.  We are to ensure proper care, consideration, and respect for others.  We are to watch, oversee, communicate, and enforce rules regarding safety violations.  We also are called to deter hurt or harm to individuals or damage to the church.  We guard and secure persons and properties such as the building, doors, alarm, and the parking lots.  We have to commit to the day or the evening that we have chosen in order to fulfill our responsibilities as a member of the Security Ministry and to remain on our post until our relief comes if possible.  Finally, we are responsible for keeping the hallways clear of loitering during service, unless someone is praying.
